Is it free? Is my picture uploaded?

Free, with no sign-up and no daily limit. Nothing is uploaded: the text is read inside your browser. Only the reader itself is downloaded the first time.

Can it read Urdu?

Yes. Urdu in plain printed type (Naskh), as on most websites, phone screenshots and many forms, reads well. Nastaliq, the type of newspapers and books, comes out with mistakes, and handwriting is not read. Choose Urdu, or Both for pages that mix Urdu and English.

How do I get the best result?

Take the photo straight from above, in good light, with the page filling the picture. Screenshots read best of all.

Tasveer se text kaise nikalein?
