Can it open a PDF if I don't know the password?

No. You need the password that opens the PDF, the one the bank or office gave you. A PDF that opens without a password but blocks printing or copying is unlocked without one.

Is my password or PDF sent anywhere?

No. The PDF is opened and saved inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. The password is never uploaded or stored.

Will the new PDF look the same?

Yes, page for page. Each page is saved as a sharp picture, so it prints and uploads like the original, but its text can no longer be selected or searched.
