How to use it

  1. Choose the PDF.
  2. Type a password twice. A longer one is safer.
  3. Tap Protect and save; send the PDF, and tell the password by call or a separate message.

How strong is the lock?

It is AES-256, the strongest lock a PDF can have, the same one Adobe Acrobat uses. With a long password nobody can open the file without it.

Will it open on any phone or computer?

Yes: Chrome, Adobe Reader, WPS, Microsoft Edge, phone PDF viewers and Mac Preview all ask for the password and open it.

What if I forget the password?

Then the file can't be opened, not even by Sitey: the password is never uploaded or kept. Keep your original PDF, or write the password down somewhere safe.
